OUR SPEAKERS
Karen Eckstein LLB CTA Cert IRM
Karen is a specialist in risk for tax and accountancy professionals. Having spent over 30 years defending claims against the profession, she saw where claims arose and decided to put her experience and expertise to use in preventing them instead of defending them. She has written a book on the subject and is also a Cert IRM, so has the technical expertise as well to help professionals. She is a practical and pragmatic adviser and a regular speaker on risk issues.
Mark Lee FCA CTA (Fellow)
Mark loves sharing strategic insights and advice with accountants and tax advisers who want more leads, more referrals and greater success in practice. He first started lecturing on practice protection issues almost 20 years ago, drawing on his experience as an expert witness in professional negligence cases. He is Chair of the Tax Advice Network and a Fellow of the ICAEW, the CIOT and the Professional Speaking Association.
Mark worked for all sizes of firm during his 25 years in practice and is a past Chair of the ICAEW”s Tax Faculty.
Back in 2006 he chose to focus the remainder of his career on those activities he really enjoyed - speaking, writing and mentoring. He is now an NED-style mentor and speaker helping sole practitioners focus on what really matters to them.

Colin S. Taylor IRM Cert
Colin is Divisional Director of the Financial Lines Group at Howden, Professional indemnity.
He has worked in the Professional Indemnity insurance sector for over 30 years and has twice been nominated for Risk Manager of the Year at the Institute of Risk Management Awards. He has a wealth of experience in helping professionals, including tax advisers and accountants, with their PII needs.
