Extra Time and Alternative Arrangements

If you would like to apply for alternative arrangements due to any of the aforementioned reasons, please fill out the form below, along with supporting medical documentation (as up to date as possible).  You also need to fill out the form if, for example, you need the use of medical equipment and/or devices in a Test Centre.

The deadline to apply is six weeks before the date of the first CTA written paper each sitting (the written exams are held in May and November each year).  

No applications can be accepted after the deadline. 

The on-demand Computer Based Exams (CBEs) are slightly different.  If you are wanting to apply before sitting a CBE, please make sure you send in the requested form prior to booking your exam sitting.   

Note - for CTA written exams, previously granted alternative arrangements do not require the form to be filled in again, as the extra time or accommodating support (in most cases), will apply to future examinations. 

However, if you happen to have a separate, or temporary reason, in addition to an already granted alternative arrangement, then you would need to fill out the form with documentation, as each case is assessed on an individual basis. 

For CBEs, we do ask that you still contact us before you sit your exams so we can apply your additional support, as this needs to be manually added every time. This will help to avoid any potential mistakes.
