HMRC’s One to Many letters for non-submission of tax returns

HMRC’s Wealthy Team are sending One to Many letters to individuals earning more than £200,000 per year but have either: not registered for self-assessment (despite having a dormant account with HMRC), received a Notice to File a return for 2021/22 but did not submit one, and those who have never been registered for self-assessment. Recipients are being asked to check whether they meet the submission criteria and file a tax return accordingly; failure to do so may result in their being sent a Notice to File.
