Running a Practice

All CIOT members are required to adhere to Member Rules and for those in practice there are some additional requirements to be aware of during the life cycle of the business. 

Setting up in practice 

We set out here information regarding the key legal and professional requirements for members ‘setting up in practice’. There is also some very useful guidance on other practical/technical aspects of running your business provided in the ‘ongoing practice’ section.

Ongoing practice 

It is important that members running their own practice keep up to date with Professional Standards requirements and guidance.

Ceasing to be in practice
