Welcome to the Somerset and Dorset Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Association of Taxation Technicians.

Welcome from Branch Chair, Steve Moorse  

I and the rest of the committee look forward to welcoming you to one or more of the Somerset & Dorset branch events in the future. 

The seminars are designed to appeal to both the tax specialist and to the general practitioner. 

We have a variety of topics within a programme that provides an opportunity for tax professionals at all levels to meet at least part of their CPD requirement in a friendly environment, and to also have the opportunity to network with fellow professionals. 

As a committee we welcome your feedback and, if you wish to raise any issues with regard to the branch, ideas for future events or other related issues you can contact me or, CIOT Head Office at [email protected]. 

The branch co-exists with and for the benefit of its members…without one there would not be the other.

I am a committee member of the branch, having joined a couple of months after the branch was first set up. As a committee member I am involved with the drawing up of the annual program , branch matters in general and liaising with any speakers that I have been allocated for particular seminars. Being involved with the Branch and attending events such as the annual Branches Forum has encouraged me to undertake other voluntary roles on behalf of ATT, and I have held positions on several ATT committees. I am currently a member of ATT Council. I have worked in for both top ten firms, in industry and in smaller rural practices. My current role is with an accountancy practice with offices in South Somerset and North Dorset. My role involves personal tax , business tax, capital gains tax and corporation tax.
