Welcome from your Branch Chair, Raja Sengupta 

I am very pleased to work with my Branch colleagues in providing a programme for our local professionals and students in enhancing and developing the knowledge and skills base in taxation through their work life. 

Significant changes are taking place in the approach to taxing businesses and individuals and we aim to cover both technical and commercial matters on long held tax practices and the changes that lie ahead. Our tasks are to engage with our local membership, to identify and provide key areas of learning to increase better understanding and tax knowledge to enable us to meet the needs of our evolving clients. 

Our Branch has meetings at two locations, Croydon and Guildford to ensure a wide location of participation of both smaller firm members, sole practitioners and home-based workers. 

I would be very pleased to hear from you on any thoughts you may have on our programme and ambitions to grow our meetings community and on encouraging our Institute’s agenda for the season ahead.
