We are the leading professional body in the United Kingdom concerned solely with taxation. Admission to membership requires success in the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) exams held every May and November, together with the ability to demonstrate three years’ relevant recent professional experience.

If you are a prospective student, we're here to help you get started in making your decision.

Access to the qualification is open to anyone. However, the exams are set at a high standard and in order to give yourself the best chance of success, if you do not have a previous qualification in accounting or law you are STRONGLY advised to register for the Tax Pathway route to qualification.
