Online Tax Legislation for 2024 CTA exams

The 2024 CTA exams are closed book, with Candidates only being able to access Online Tax legislation for use in the exams. You will NOT be able to bring in any hard copies of legislation, nor any other tax technical materials, into the Test Centre. IMPORTANT - If you have a work account that gives you access to Tolley Guidance, TolleyLibrary, LexisLibrary or Croner-i Library, you will not be able to access any of these sites on exam day.

You have a choice of two products from the approved providers to purchase Online Tax legislation for the 2024 CTA exams - Croner-i and Tolley's Digital Library.  These are products produced for student usage and may well be different to the subscriptions your firm provides you with at work.

Be aware that you will NOT be able to make notes in either product.  The exams are closed book, so notes are not allowed, but you will be able to use highlighting and other useful features that come with your Online legislation.  A well organised candidate will make use of the features available so that they are best prepared ahead of their exam day.

Please note these are the ONLY two products approved for use in the exams, so any other subscriptions with either of these providers that you use at work will NOT be accessible. Watch the exam guidance videos for full information on the exam setup at the Test Centres.

We strongly recommend that you practice using the Online legislation throughout your studies, so that you are fully prepared come the day of your exam.
