New Tax Professionals: The Future of Tax Webinar

Monday 25 November 2024 | 13:00 - 14:00 GMT

The New Tax Professionals (NTP) committee is aimed at helping students or members of the ATT and/or CIOT who are in the first ten years of their career.  The committee host events such as development skills, networking, social events, technical and general interest topics that are particularly relevant to those in the early part of their career.

The committee will be holding a webinar on  Monday 25th November 2024 with Dr Vasiliki Koukoulioti and Angela Wood at 1pm on “The Future of Tax.”

Tax, today. Tax, yesterday. Tax, tomorrow. Three things that will never be identical. Tax is an industry that is always growing, and constantly adapting to change. This change most recently has come in the form of influence from AI and ESG initiatives. Both of these areas impact not only how we learn how to be tax practitioners, how we adapt to new types of queries, or how we implement relevant regulations but also what the future of tax as a whole will look like.  From automating simple processes, to ensuring green taxes are taken into consideration when business planning, to even considering how AI can be used in tax case research. All of these new and exciting variables mean it’s likely we will have to adapt and incorporate certain aspects into our roles and the industry.

But How? Join us as we speak to two highly successful individuals who have achieved vast amounts in their careers within the tax world and will provide us great insight into how influences such as AI and ESG have impacted their roles and their views on what the future of tax could look like for your role.
