What Anas says:
"I’m a Partner at MMJS Tax Consulting, a specialized GCC tax consulting firm. I previously worked with Big 4 and leading law firms within the GCC region, and have 10 years of tax, accounting and legal experience in the region. I have advised local and international firms on their inbound and outbound tax and zakat matters, transfer pricing, Value Added Tax, Real Estate Transaction Tax, mergers and acquisitions, and have handled multi-million objections.
I’m also a member of the International Fiscal Association's Dubai Branch, and a registered member of Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (unlicensed), and was licensed as an approved UAE tax agent.
Studying for ADIT developed my understanding in international tax matters and gave me a competitive advantage as a tax practitioner. Further, it broadened my understanding on how the tax laws are read, treaties are used, international tax actions are applied. It also developed my drafting skills, tax terminology, and tax planning knowledge.
With the tax reforms that are happening in the Gulf states, my aim as an ADIT Champion is to motivate lawyers, accountants and tax professionals, whether in the private or governmental sector, to join the ADIT community and elevate their international tax knowledge, allowing them to get ahead of the market and provide the necessary support to taxpayers within the region.
I look forward to promoting the benefits of the ADIT qualification, and Affiliate subscription, to accountancy and tax professionals across the Gulf states and beyond."
